Sales Transaction Entry Fields
For customer service and data entry personnel, Additional
Sales Transaction Entry Fields provides the ability to display
additional Inventory fields for each line item on the Sales Transaction
Entry window. Modifier must be used to determine the positions
of the fields within the window.

Apply
Button for SOP Inquiry
Determine which checks were applied to a specific Sales Order
Processing invoice. Also works with Sales Order Processing returns.
- Apply Button for SOP Inquiry functions like the one found
in Receivables Management.
- View which checks, returns, etc. were applied to an invoice.
- View the sales documents for which a return was applied.
Check
for Duplicate Purchase Orders
While entering a document in Sales Transaction Entry, historical
and unposted documents will be checked for an identical Purchase
Order for the given Customer ID. Improve customer service for
companies that receive confirming purchase orders by fax or mail.
- Searches historical and unposted transactions.
- Provides an option to open the Sales Order Processing Inquiry
window to check for duplicate information.
- Reduces likelihood of double shipments.
Credit
Limit Process Holds
Whenever a document exceeds a customer's credit limit, a process
hold can automatically be assigned to the sales document. This
enhancement adds the power of Great Plains Process Holds to credit
management.
- Automatically adds a Process Hold when customer credit limit
is exceeded.
- Setup window allows you to select which Process Hold ID to
assign.
Move Sales
Documents
This utility for Sales Order Processing quickly and easily moves multiple sales documents from one batch to another based on a particular set of restrictions you define. This module is especially useful for customers with multiple people performing data entry.
- Move documents from one batch to another based on 14 available restriction types.
- Restriction Types include: Master Number, Item Number, Document Type, Type ID, Document Number, Document Date, Customer ID, Customer Name, Phone Number, Quote Exp Date, Requested Ship Date, Salesperson ID, User Defined List 1, Commitment Status.
- Save pre-defined restrictions for repeated use.
Print
Shipping Labels
This enhancement for Sales Order Processing provides a way for
you to print shipping labels quickly and easily from Sales Transaction
Entry and Sales Order Fulfillment.
- Label format may be customized with Report Writer.
- Any field from the Sales Transaction window can be included
on the label.
- A specific printer can be set up as the default for label
printing.
- Labels can be numbered for package counting (i.e. Pkg. 2 of
5).
Restocking
Charge Button for Returns
Companies can now establish a policy on a restocking charge percentage
for Sales Order Processing returns. This enhancement eases data
entry, reduces errors, and improves efficiency.
- Setup window allows for a default restocking charge percentage
to be applied to all returns.
- Trade Discount field on the sales return document indicates
the restocking charge.
Track
Expected Receipt Date
Need to know when an item on a purchase order will be received
in inventory? Track Expected Receipt Date provides this information
for every item and location.
- Uses Promised Date from Purchase Order Processing detail.
- Tracks dates for multiple inventory locations.
Track
Unallocated Quantities
Track inventory quantities before running out of stock. For customers
who do not automatically allocate inventory to orders upon data
entry, this enhancement will track the total quantity on order
but not allocated. Great for just-in-time distributors and manufacturers.
- Allows the tracking of item quantities from orders and invoices
that are not allocated.
- Provides "up-to-the-minute" tracking of inventories.
